Rugby World Cup Final
New Zealand will host the seventh Rugby World Cup in 2011 and will kick start the 7 week tournament when they play Tonga at Eden Park in Auckland on the 9th September, as 20 countries battle it out to see who will be crowned the next Rugby World Cup champions.

South Africa, who are the current World Cup Champions are hoping to retain their title against Argentina, Australia, England, Fiji, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Tonga, Wales and the hosts New Zealand all who automatically qualified during the French Rugby World Cup of 2007. Canada, Namibia, Samoa and the United States will be joining the tournament after qualifying through regional competitions with the four remaining nations still to be decided.

The World Cup will be played in 13 different venues through New Zealand with the Rugby World Cup Final being played at Eden Park which has been redeveloped for the event. The tournament will be the largest sporting event that New Zealand has ever hosted and will cost the country an estimated $310.0 million New Zealand Dollars to run, a cost that I’m sure will be forgotten if the mighty All Blacks emerge victorious.
